BUHS newspaper, yearbook honored at AIPA conference
AIPA AWARD WINNERS

Buckeye Union High School’s student publications earned more awards than any other west valley school at the Arizona Interscholastic Press Association’s fall convention at Arizona State University. The Hawk student newspaper and The Falcon student yearbook each came home with nine honorees.
For The Hawk newspaper, it was their first time winning statewide honors from the AIPA, as staff members collected awards in writing, photography and design for the 2008-09 paper. The Falcon, on the other hand, has now been recognized 24 times by the student press organization and placed in a variety of categories. Student winners for each publication ...
